Gregory A. Preihs, age 66, of Montague, met the goal of his faith, was called Home and met his Savior face to face on February 26, 2013. He was born January 18, 1947, in Evanston, Illinois, to Russell and Cheryl (Olsen) Preihs. A graduate of Wabash College, Greg proudly served in the US Air Force. On January 16, 1981, he married the former JoAnne Baker. He was the Executive Director of Muskegon City Rescue Mission and Northlands Rescue Mission in Grand Forks, ND and their ministry, for 13 years, retiring in 2001. Greg was a member of White Lake Baptist Church, a member of Toastmasters, and a member of the International Union of Gospel Missions. He was preceded in death in by his parents, a daughter, Jessica Leigh, and his mother-in-law, Harriette Kassner.
FAMILY: His wife, JoAnne; his children, Lynda Preihs (David Taylor Jr.) of Muskegon, Rachel Preihs (Jason) Onstott of Montague, and Stephen (Tracy) Preihs of Holland; grandchildren, Saje Preihs, Brendan Preihs, Reece Turnage, Jackson Turnage, Rylee Onstott and Jayden Onstott; brothers, Jeff Preihs of Colorado, Michael Preihs of Florida and James (LeAnne) Preihs of California; his father-in-law, Harold Kassner; sisters-in-law, Eileen Wojewodzki of North Muskegon and Cindy (Darrell) Bassett of Whitehall; brothers-in-law, Jay (Tamie) Kassner of Whitehall and Jack (Renee) Kassner of North Muskegon; lots of nieces & nephews.
SERVICE: Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 1 PM, at White Lake Baptist Church, 5280 Dowling St., Montague, with Pastor David Taylor Sr. officiating.
VISITING TIME: Monday, March 4, from 6-8 PM, at CLOCK Funeral Home of White Lake, 413 S. Mears Ave., Whitehall, and Tuesday, 12:00 PM (Noon) until service time at White Lake Baptist Church.
