Robert J. Mikkelson
Spin Mikkelson, age 75, of Whitehall, passed away unexpectedly on December 7, 2012. He was born March 18, 1937, in Shelby, to Garfield and Viola (Eilers) Mikkelson. Along with proudly serving in the US Army, Spin earned a Masters Degree in counseling at Central Michigan University. On August 15, 1964, he married the former Donna Faye Dorman, who preceded him in death in 2010. Mr. Mikkelson worked as a high school counselor for 28 years at Hart High School, retiring in 1996.
FAMILY: His children, David (Kathleen) Mikkelson, Kirk (Sherri) Mikkelson, and their children, Emmitt, Maranda, Kylar & Jaden, Brett (Allison) Mikkelson, and their children, Taylor & Evan, and Susie (Tim) Tubbs, and their children, Hunter & Michael; his sisters, Karen Kari and Delores Mikkelson; half-sister, Jeanie Mikkelson; step-sister, Karen Miller; his brothers, Charlie Mikkelson, Tom Mikkelson and Joe Eilers; step-brother, Jerry Settler.
SERVICE: Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at 1 PM, at Clock Funeral Home, 413 S. Mears Ave., Whitehall, with Mr. James K. Tanis and Corey Michael officiating. Interment will be in Oakgrove Cemetery, Montague.
VISITING TIME: Tuesday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM, at Clock Funeral Home in Whitehall.
