Chamber seeks nominations for El, Lady Laker awards

The White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the upcoming “Lady Laker of the Year” and the “El Award”.

The purpose of the Lady Laker of the Year award is to recognize professional individuals who have served in an exceptional manner, especially in mentoring and assisting future leaders in the White Lake area. The recipient of the Lady Laker Award, which is a signed sculpture, will be selected based on an evaluation process undertaken by a panel of several area residents and past recipients. This honorary award is sponsored by Don Rypma Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Inc.

The El Award recognizes an outstanding local business person and is in memory of Eleanor Polley, a former executive director to the White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. PNC Bank of Whitehall is the sponsor of this honorary award.

The Lady Laker Award and the El Award nomination forms may be picked up from the chamber office or found on its website, www.whitelake.org. These nominees must be an individual who performs outstanding services through their work and exhibits a positive and supportive attitude. Nomination forms must be turned in to the chamber office by Monday, Oct. 22.
