March Lecture Series features Bonnie Bierma
 
MONTAGUE – Public radio program director and announcer will speak Tuesday, March 26, at the last of a series of three lectures. The lecture by Bonnie Bierma will be at 7 p.m., at the Nuveen Community Center for the Arts, 8697 Ferry St, Montague.

Bierma is the program director and announcer on WBLV Blue Lake Public Radio. Bierma’s lecture is titled “Revealing the Romantic Rachmaninoff.”

Bierma has been on the staff of Blue Lake Public Radio for 23 years where she is the weekday morning host, host of Sunday morning’s “Choral Traditions” and keeper of the Classical CD library. She recently retired from the West Michigan Symphony, but remains an active freelance oboist. She and her big orange cat, Thomas, live in Muskegon.

Tickets are $5 for this limited-seating event. Complimentary beverages included. Tickets are available at the Arts Council of White Lake office, 8695 Ferry St., (231-893-2524) and the Book Nook and Java Shop, 8726 Ferry St, (231-894-5333).
