Rockets advance to regional finals

MUSKEGON — The Reeths-Puffer Rockets moved on to the regional finals Thursday night by defeating Traverse City St. Francis, 8-4, at the Lakeshore Sports Center.

The finals were played against Mona Shores at L.C. Walker Arena Saturday afternoon after the Beacon went to press.

Rockets skate past Manistee

VICTORY TWP. — Manistee’s co-op hockey team skated right with Reeths-Puffer for much of Tuesday’s MHSAA Division 1 pre-regional game Tuesday night at West Shore Community Ice Arena.

But third period was when things came crashing down for the Chippewas as the Rockets skated away to the 5-2 victory with two third period goals.

The win for the Rockets was the 23rd for the year, a new school record.
