Steve Lisinski is 39-years-old with two beautiful children, daughter Chloe, age 10, and son Jaxon, 6. He is Co-Owner of 4 Seasons Home Crafters in Muskegon and has been in the construction/remodel business for over 20 years.

Steve, a Reeths-Puffer graduate, was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in January 2001 (Grade II Oligoastrocytoma of the right frontal parietal lobe) and he has battled this for the past 12 years. During that time, Steve has undergone four surgeries, including three at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Each surgery has taken a toll on his body and has compromised his left side.

He recently returned to Mayo Clinic to discover that his tumor continues to grow and is now affecting the left side of his brain. At this point, his tumor is inoperable. Doctors believe his age and physical condition present too much of a risk and could potentially result in full paralysis. Steve’s only option now is a six-week treatment, consisting of daily chemo and radiation five times a week.

Steve returned to Mayo Clinic to begin treatment on Tuesday, Jan. 22. He will be away from his family and friends for his entire treatment and unable to work, which means no income. Although Steve is most concerned with missing his children, the reality is the costs for medical treatment, lodging, meals, etc. will be substantial.

Steve’s family and friends invite the public to attend a special benefit to help ease his financial burden and support him in his recovery efforts.
