Start to the holidays

Free horse and carriage rides in downtown Whitehall and Montague were again a popular activity at this year’s White Lake Holiday Walk Friday and Saturday, Nov. 16 and 17. The event also included a Christmas tree lighting and caroling Friday night, luminaries lighting the sidewalks, trolley rides on Saturday, children’s arts and crafts at the Nuveen Center, Santa visiting local stores, sidewalk caroling on Saturday and special open houses at the stores. The seasonally mild weather also cooperated.
