The position of County Commissioner District 8 will have a new face starting in January.
Democrat Terry Sabo beat incumbent John Snider for the seat of County Commissioner District 8. Sabo received 4,901 votes to Snider’s 4,399. Write-in votes totaled 25.
“I knew in by heart back in December that this was a possibility,” Sabo said. “I have a tremendous amount of respect for Mr. Snider and his years of public service as a county commissioner. Mr. Snider is a pillar in the community.”
Sabo credited his victory to the hard work of his campaign including a grassroots effort of reaching out to voters and a willingness to be accessible to the community.
