Shellcast, Inc. in Montague has received a prestigious industry award for a steel casting it makes for a military aircraft.
The Investment Casting Institute, the worldwide membership authority holds an annual competition to find and recognize the best example of cast components that best demonstrate what the process can offer.
The winners of this year’s competition were announced at the 59th annual ICI meeting in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday, Oct. 8, and Shellcast, Inc. took top honors for a steel casting in the Aerospace and Military category. With this award comes significant notoriety within the investment casting community and more importantly international recognition as being a technical leader in the industry. It is the highest award given for this segment of the casting industry.
