Posted: 11-12-2012 Project Homeless Connect is Nov. 20 |
| |
MUSKEGON – Project Homeless Connect is a national project designed to connect homeless and at-risk individuals with services and support in one convenient location.
For this year’s annual event in Muskegon County, there will be a turkey giveaway, hot beverages, local service provider access, such as Every Woman’s Place and Safe Kids of West Michigan to provide support, information, and education, along with free goodie bags containing community resource information and personal supplies.
The local continuum of care, comprised of several local agencies, will host this event on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from Noon to 2 p.m. at the Hayes and Wright Center, 1877 Peck Street, Muskegon.
Last year, the event helped 200 families by connecting them to services and supplies.
