Clerk retires after 34 years

Blue Lake Township Clerk Fred Arbogast Sr. is retiring from his position after serving the township for 34 years.

Arbogast came to this position in 1978 when the township was in financial trouble. The supervisor at the time, Carl Knash, said that no bills would get paid until someone found the issue. Arbogast stepped in and the bills were paid the next month.

An open house will be held in Arbogast’s honor on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 2-5 p.m. at Blue Lake Community Church, 10981 Blue Lake Rd. Anyone is welcome to come celebrate Arbogast’s retirement.
