Posted: 2-20-2012 Correction on Camp Owasippe selling land
In last week’s article about the Chicago Area Council Boy Scout of America selling part of its Owasippe Boy Scout Reservation property, it was incorrectly stated that Blue Lake Township sued the council. The Chicago Area Council Boy Scouts of America, owner of Owasippe, sued Blue Lake Township after the township denied their request for rezoning in 2006. The courts later upheld the township’s decision. We apologize for the error.
