WHITEHALL — Goodwill Industries of West Michigan (GIWM) plans to temporarily close its Whitehall store located at 3353 Underwood Drive on Feb. 5 for some store renovations and improvements. Goodwill expects to re-open its doors on Feb. 16 or sooner.
The store’s donation drive-thru will remain open Monday – Saturday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m. throughout the renovation. In preparation for the store renovation, the store is offering a 50% off sale through Feb. 2 on everything in the store.
“The Whitehall community has been extremely generous, both with their donations and with their customer shopping. Without them we would be unable to fund our mission of helping people train for, find, and keep good jobs,” said Goodwill Retail Director James Cherney. “We are excited to provide our customers with some wonderful new design and architectural improvements.”
Store renovations will include new lighting, fresh paint, new floors, new tile in bathrooms, and a new glass vestibule and more.
The original Goodwill Whitehall store location opened for business in 1999 within the Plumb’s Plaza. In 2004, Goodwill built the current free-standing building.
