Scout leader Joel Best is ready to let the cars go down the track while a large crowd waits for the action.



The 2010 Cub Scout Pack 4048 Pinewood Derby was a huge success on Sunday, Jan. 24. Nearly 50 model cars, made by the cub scouts, zoomed down a track set up at the Algot Johnson American Legion Post #3256. Along with racing there were other activities like making a car stand, shaking up homemade ice cream and other arts and crafts.The winners of the Pinewood Derby were: 1. Hudson Richards, 2. Josiah Christensen, 3. Kevin Johnson. Finalists were: Brandon Foos, Jacob Hollenbach and Brennen Rowell.
