Rothbury to hold hearing on updated recreation plan

The Village of Rothbury will hold a public hearing for input on its proposed Recreational Master Plan five-year update.

The hearing will be held during a combined meeting of the village’s council and planning commission on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 6:30 p.m.

The hearing will be held at the Village Hall, 7804 Michigan Ave.

Council member Mike Harris reported at the Jan. 15 meeting that the planning commission is moving forward on the updated recreational plan which is required if the village wants to obtain state grants for recreational projects.

Village Clerk Carol Witzke said the plan update will have to be approved on Feb. 19 if the village wants to submit the plan before the deadline.

A copy of the recreation plan update is available for review. Contact Witzke at 894-6378 to make arrangements to view the plan.
