Rockets blank Manistee
 
MUSKEGON — Reeths-Puffer blasted visiting Manistee Wednesday night at the Lakeshore Sports Center by an 8-0 margin.

R-P is now 19-2-1 this season.

Dean Griffin recorded a hat trick to lead the Rockets, who were up 7-0 after two periods. Kyle Kendra had two goals himself, and Brandon Young, Cody Vanderstelt and Derreck Pleimling each scored once.

Three players recorded two assists each for the Rockets: Josh Smith, Jeremy Joyce and Alex Dinger.

Rockets split games at Showcase

CHELSEA — The Reeths-Puffer Rockets split two games last weekend at the Michigan Showcase in Chelsea, falling to Brighton 4-0 and defeating Hartland 4-1.

Reeths-Puffer went to 18-2-1 with the split games over the weekend.

“We had a great weekend and represented our community,” R-P coach Eric Sikkenga said of the event, which included 60 teams statewide.
