Moore signs with Ferris

Montague High School senior Brandon Moore signed a National Letter of Intent to attend and play football at Ferris State University during a ceremony held Wednesday on National Signing Day. The signing was held in the school’s library. To Brandon’s right is his mother, Shellie Thompson, and to his left is Montague Head Football Coach Pat Collins. “I’m so proud of him,” his mother said. “I’m proud of his determination and drive to do this. It’s beyond words. “I feel good,” Brandon said. “I finally know where I’m settled at.” Brandon said the coaching staff and community at Ferris State played a big role in his decision to accept the full-ride scholarship to the Div. II school. Collins said it’s rare for an athlete from a school of Montague’s size to get a full-ride scholarship. “Brandon is only the second football player from Montague to get a full ride. The only other one is Cody Kater (quarterback at CMU). “It’s hard to argue what he’s done.”
