1964: The Tribute will perform at the Frauenthal Theatre on Friday, Feb. 15. They have been called “the Number One Beatles Show on Earth” by Rolling Stone Magazine.
“1964: The Tribute” band member Mark Benson said the members of the Beatles tribute band never envisioned it to be a full time gig when they formed in 1982.
“We thought it was a Baby Boomer thing,” Benson said during a recent telephone interview.
That Baby Boomer thing caught fire on college campuses in the 80s and 90s and now translates into a hundred shows a year.
Benson said the success of the show is that it gives the audience the feel of what it was like attending a rock and roll concert in the 1960s when the Beatles came on the music scene.
“1964: The Tribute” will take the audience on a fantastic trip back to the era of the rock legends who will live in our hearts forever. This trip down memory lane (or is it Penny Lane?) will start at 8 p.m..
Tickets are available at the Frauenthal Box Office or by telephone at 1-800-585-3737 or any Star Tickets Outlet or online at www.startickets.com.
