James Young, left, publisher of The White Lake Beacon and Oceana’s Herald-Journal, handed over the gavel for the Michigan Press Association to Chris Huckle of the Cadillac News. Young served as the MPA president for the past year, and is now the Past President on the board. Huckle will be the MPA president for the upcoming year. The transition in leadership occurred at the MPA annual convention Jan. 24-26 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids.
