Led by emcees Joseph Peterson and Tim Blacker, Mock Rock 2013 was a success.

The winning act for Mock Rock 2013 was “the Gangstas” which consisted of three NBC Middle School students: Jaeven Aylor, Drake Roesler and Abram Erickson who performed a lip sync to “John Wall.” They received 25 percent of the ticket sales, which gave the group $162.

The Miracle Minute held at this year’s Mock Rock was for the Ronan Thompson Foundation, which strives to end children’s cancer. This year, the Miracle Minute raised $314.

Mock Rock 2013 was produced by Montague DECA members Kasey Kimball and Angel Moore for their Learn and Earn Project. The girls will now write a 30-page report and create an 8-minute presentation to compete at the DECA State Conference in Grand Rapids March 15-17.
