The White River Gallery and Nuveen Community Center for the Arts, branches of the Arts Council of White Lake, invite artists to submit entries to the 30th annual Change of Seasons Juried Exhibition.

Accepted work will be exhibited at the two venues March 1-30. As was initiated in 2012, entry forms are available online; complete entry guidelines will not be mailed to individual artists.

Entries will be received Feb. 15-17 at the White River Gallery, 8701 Ferry St. (adults entries); and at the Nuveen Center, 8697 Ferry St. (youth, grades K-12). Both venues are in downtown Montague. Art work in any medium may be submitted. All youth art work will be exhibited in the show (space permitting); adult entries selected by the juror will be exhibited and offered for sale.

Cash awards for adult winners range from $100 to $300. Youth exhibitors compete for awards of $15 to $50 in each of four categories determined by grade level, and for a $50 cash award for the Arts Council of White Lake Award winner. A public reception is March 2, from 1-3 p.m., with awards presentation and the juror’s statement at 1:30 p.m.

The 2013 juror is Chip VanderWier, a sculptor whose works are primarily kinetic and/or interactive. His “Bell on Wheels” was recognized in ArtPrize 2012 and his “Wind Indicator with Red Fan” received Grand Haven ArtWalk’s 2011 Purchase Award. VanderWier earned a BFA with emphasis in Sculpture and Ceramics from Grand Valley State University in 1997. He teaches ceramics as an adjunct art instructor at Muskegon Community College and at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.

Complete entry guidelines can be obtained at www.artscouncilofwhitelake.org. Artists who do not have online access may request an entry for or more information at 231-894-ARTS (2787). Times for submitting work are 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 15; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 16; and 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 17.
