First 2013 baby in county is from the White Lake area

The White Lake Area got the honor of having the first New Year’s baby in Muskegon County this year.

Owen Michael McDonald was born at 3:48 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1, to parents Morgan Davey and Lenny McDonald. Owen weighed in at just 4 pounds, 9 ounces and 17.5 inches; “a little peanut” as his grandmother Pamela McDonald describes him.

Owen decided to come into the world a little earlier than expected, a week to be exact.

In honor of the occasion, Owen’s hospital room at the Birth Center Mercy Health Partners-Hackley Campus was decorated with many different streamers and signs stating “First baby of 2013.”.

McDonald is from Montague and Davey is from Whitehall. This is the first child for both.
