Montague schedules Pink Out game for Jan. 25

On Friday, Jan. 25, Montague DECA’s Sarah Harrie and Karlee Koetje will be producing Montague’s first Pink Out basketball game. This DECA project is aimed toward supporting and raising funds for breast cancer awareness and research. The opponents that night will be the Shelby Tigers and the game will be held in Montague High School’s gym.

The basketball teams will be wearing warm-up shirts before the game that have last names of people that are in memory of or in honor of people that have battled breast cancer to support the cause. Pink T-shirts as well as other pink apparel and items will be sold before and during the event for the fans. The goal is for everyone, from Montague and Shelby, to be wearing some form of pink while attending the event.

All of the proceeds will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. To find out more about Susan G. Komen, visit www.komenwestmichigan.org. For more information, call Montague High School DECA at 894-2661.
