Teresa Hughes Englert
 



Teresa Hughes Englert, 57, of Port St. Lucie, Fl., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 20th, 2012, at St. Lucie Medical Center.

She was born November 4th, 1955, in Muskegon, Mi., to Raymond and Laura Hughes. On October 24th, 1987, she married William Englert.

Survivors include William Englert; her daughters, Elizabeth and Laura Englert, of Port St. Lucie, Fl.; Mother, Laura Hughes, of Rothbury, Mi.; brothers, Dennis (Margaret) of Rothbury, Mi., and Patrick Hughes of Ypsilanti, Mi; sister, Bonnie (Thomas) Smith of Acworth, Ga; foster sister, Jennifer Cregg of Spokane, Wa; nieces and nephews; and Chanelle Dundas, who was like another daughter to her.

Preceeding her in death was her father, Raymond Hughes.

Teresa was a graduate of Montague High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Michigan State University where she taught graduate students in soil chemistry.

After moving to Florida, she managed the Bionetics Lab at the Kennedy Space Center in Cocoa Beach, Fl., and the water treatment lab for the City of Daytona Beach, Fl.

Teresa was an ardent animal lover and had many pets and was especially fond of her cat “Moe”.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her daughters at 1657 SW Mackey Ave., Port St. Lucie, Fl. 34953.
