Jesse W. Hepworth



Jesse W. Hepworth, age 84, of Whitehall, went Home to be with his Savior, on December 21, 2012. He was born July 5, 1928, in Mason County, to William and Rosie (Poore) Hepworth. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Education, and a Masters Degree in Education at Western Michigan University. On October 4, 1947, he married the former Marian A. Bates, in Pentwater. Mr. Hepworth served as Elementary School Principal for Montague Area Public Schools until retiring. An avid tennis player and golfer, he was a member of Pentwater Tennis Club and Oceana Golf Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 4 sisters and 7 brothers.

FAMILY: His wife, Marian; his children, Ken (Ann) Hepworth of Shelby, Ron (Louann) Hepworth of Muskegon, Sharon (Chuck) Stevens of Jenison and Peggy Hepworth; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Denzil (Gen) Hepworth of Pentwater, Jewel (Dick) Brower of Pentwater, Wilma VanHaitsma of Pentwater, Helen Dougherty of Mears and Katherine Belk of Grand Rapids; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

SERVICE: Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at White Lake Baptist Church, 5280 Dowling St., Montague, with Pastor Steve Brower officiating. Interment will be in Oakgrove Cemetery, Montague.

VISITING TIME: Wednesday, 6-8 PM, at CLOCK Funeral Home of White Lake, 413 S. Mears Ave., Whitehall (231-894-5676).
