David P. Wilmers



David P. Wilmers, age 65, of Whitehall, died unexpectedly at his home on December 14, 2012. He was born August 12, 1947, in Hancock, to Paul and Elizabeth (Anderson) Wilmers. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. On September 13, 1969, he married the former Dorothy Palossari. Mr. Wilmers worked at Plumb’s in Whitehall for a number of years and later for Standard Lumber in Montague, until retiring in 2005. Dave’s favorite hobby was spending time in the kitchen. He loved to cook, bake bread and create meals for his family and friends. Dave especially love teaching his grandchildren how to make pizza. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Daniel Wilmers.

FAMILY: His wife, Dorothy; his daughters, Kim (Aaron) Boyll, and their children, Megan & Camryn Boyll, and Kelley (Rusty) Hepler, and their children, Lucas & Brooke Hepler; two sisters Kathy (Jim) Kunert of Wisconsin and Jean (Paul) Bianucci of Hancock; two brothers, Mike (Barb) Wilmers of Houghton and Tony (Amy) Wilmers of Hancock; 9 nieces & nephews; close family friends, Bob and Joan Schultz.

MEMORIAL GATHERING: Monday, December 17, 2012, from 10 AM until 12:00 PM (Noon), at Clock Funeral Home of White Lake, 413 S. Mears Ave., Whitehall.

DONATIONS: Lakeshore Lung Program, Muskegon Community Health Project, 565 W. Western Ave., Muskegon 49440.
