Skating show December 15

Muskegon Lakeshore Figure Skating Club will perform a free Holiday Ice Show, celebrating the joy of the season, and highlighting the talents of local figure skaters.

Show time is Saturday, Dec. 15, at 6:30 p.m,. at Lakeshore Sports Centre, 4470 Airline Road, Muskegon. Admission is free.

The young members of the Muskegon Lakeshore Figure Skating club would like to demonstrate their skills by entertaining the audience with their dazzling performances. From the tiniest beginners to the more seasoned skaters, these dedicated athletes promise a sparkling show full of thrills, and maybe a few spills, as they skate to beautiful music of the holidays.

A public skate follows the exhibition, 7:30-8:50 p.m. Admission to public skating is $5, and skate rental is $2.

The Muskegon Lakeshore Figure Skating Club offers Basic Skills ice skating lessons throughout the year for ages 3 and up. The next session begins Jan. 6, and the classes are Sundays from 3:45-4:15 at the Lakeshore Sports Centre.

Coaches and club members will be on hand at the Dec. 15 Holiday Ice Show to answer any questions about Basic Skills and competitive figure skating. For more information, visit the club’s website at www.mlfsc.org, or call (231) 737-5283.
