Annual Christmas Home Tour in White Lake Area Dec. 9

To start off the holiday season, the Music and Performing Arts Branch of the Arts Council of White Lake will hold its third annual Christmas Home Tour on Dec. 9.

Several homes in the White Lake Area will open their doors to those who wish to tour and listen to music by local artists. Each home will offer an array of Christmas ideas and inspire stylish ways to prepare your home for the holidays.

Each of the homes will be decorated for the Christmas season. Some of the themes that will be displayed include nautically-inspired ornaments, a vintage Annalee Doll, a feather tree, tiny mercury glass ornaments, special collections and many vintage decorations.

The houses on the tour are all located in Whitehall this year. The homes on the tour are Marjie Smith, 6570 Burton Woods; John and Mary Loeks, 5465 Scenic Drive; Bill and Kate Scarbrough, 1627 S. Lake St.; Art and Sue Plewka, 4495 Canterbury Lane; Lori Hesse, 317 Main St.; and Larry & Vicki Haughn, 1825 S. Mears. The Corner House and the Hokey Pokey will also be a part of the tour and will provide refreshments for ticket holders.

Because this event is held by the Music and Performing Arts Branch, each location will showcase local vocalists and instrumentalists. Refreshments will be available throughout the tour.

The tour will be from noon-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9. Tickets are $10 and are available in advance at the Arts Council of White Lake, 8695 Ferry St. and at the Book Nook and Java Shop, 8744 Ferry St., The Corner House 223 E. Colby, and the Hokey Pokey, 107 E. Colby. and also the day of the tour at each home. For more information call 231-894-2524.
