Foundation Scholarships

The Community Foundation for Oceana County Foundation Scholarship Program online applications are now available for the 2013/2014 school year.

Applications can be submitted electronically at the foundation website (www.oceana-foundation.org) and the submission deadline is March 1, 2013.

The foundation does not make awards solely on the basis of need. All Foundation scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis.

The foundation has 27 scholarship funds and over $4 million in scholarship endowments. Two additional scholarships were recently established – the Walkerville Scholarship Fund and the Gerald L Malburg Scholarship Fund.

Both graduating high school seniors and current college students and invited to apply. In 2012, 130 Oceana County students received scholarships for a total of $114,500. The full list of 2012 recipients can be viewed in the website scholarship section.

Specific questions on the scholarship program can be directed to Executive Director, Tammy Carey at 231-861-8335 or to a high school counselor.
