Pattricia and Bill Collard



Pat L. Collard, age 86, of Montague, met the goal of her faith, and rejoined her husband of 61 years, November 20, 2012. She was born May 8, 1926, in Lansing, to Leon F. and Adelia (Cole) Palmer. On August 27, 1949, she married William C. "Bill" Collard, who preceded her in death in 2010. A homemaker much of her life, Pat also worked at Bell Furniture for 11 years as a sales associate. An active person, she was a member of St. James Catholic Church, where she taught CCD classes and was a member of the Altar Society. Involved in her community, Pat started the White Lake Senior's Group at the church, which evolved into the current White Lake Senior Center. Pat also was a member of the DAR, the White Lake Chamber of Commerce, was involved in Showboat, and was a member of White Lake Eagles #3214 Auxiliary. She and Bill loved to travel, and were members of NOMADS, and Pat, as well as being an avid bowler, holding a number of positions in the Women's Bowling League, loved, like Bill, to golf. She was involved in a number of positions in the Women's Golf Leagues she participated in. Pat was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Bottom and Donna Staal.

FAMILY: Her children, Christine (Randy) DeKuiper of Hesperia, Rebecca Collard of Walker, Karen (Larry) Noordhoff of Muskegon and Mark (Donna) Collard of CA; 9 grandchildren, Nathan, Amy (Bill), Lucas (Erica), Jesse (Cynthia), Mitzi (Keyon), Jeff (Mindy), Sandra (Brad), Danielle (Matt) and Nikita (Jake); 11 great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL LITURGY: Monday, November 26, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at St. James Catholic Church, 5149 Dowling St., Montague, with the Rev. Fr. Donn P. Tufts presiding.

VISITING TIME: Sunday, 3-6 PM, at St. James Catholic Church in Montague.

DONATIONS: Heartland Hospice, 3230 Eagle Park Dr. NE, Grand Rapids 49525.
