Residents of the White Lake Assisted Living community cut the ribbon to the new facility at an open house held Nov. 7. The facility, managed by Leisure Living, is located at 6827 Whitehall Rd., Whitehall. In its first six weeks, the privately operated senior living community has filled 15 of its 26 units. The ribbon cutting was held in the facility’s lobby. Refreshments were served in the adjacent dining area which serves all meals and snacks to residents. “We built this place for these people,” remarked Neil Kraay of Leisure Living while gesturing to the residents ready to cut the ribbon. State Sen. Goeff Hansen, who attended the ceremony, said, “This is amazing. What I really appreciate is the vision for this facility. It’s a great addition to the community.” |
