Mrs. Margaret M. Krug
 



Mrs. Margaret M. Krug, age 76, of Montague, wife of Albert, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 in The Villages, Florida. She was born December 19, 1935 in Muskegon to Emil and Dorothea (Tolley) Lauretti, and lived most of her life in the Muskegon and Montague areas. Margaret was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Montague. She taught at the Montague Public Schools for 34 years, retiring in 1993, and belonged to the Michigan Retired Teachers Association. She also belonged to the Red Hat Society, the Dirt Daubers Garden Club, the Hat Ladies of Charleston, the Arts Council of White Lake, and the White Lake Historical Society. Margaret was the founder and president of the Family Council of the Heartland Whitehall Nursing Home. On February 9, 1957 she married Albert C. Krug, and he survives her along with two daughters, Michele Krug of Chicago, Gretchen Krug of Metro Detroit; one brother, Tolley Lauretti of Oregon; three sisters-in-law, Esther Maloney of Grand Rapids, Adeline Dungey of Minnesota, Norna Krug of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Marie Kimberly; one sister, Eleanor Hughes; and her step-mother, Cecelia M. Lauretti. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL was held at 10:00 AM Saturday at St. James Catholic Church in Montague with the Rev. Fr. Donn Tufts presiding. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Montague. Margaret wants all of the ladies that attend her service to wear hats, and wants everyone to be well-dressed. She will be remembered for her style, grace, determination, and generosity.
