Posted: 11-12-2012 Come join a drum circle |
| |
Drum circles are starting in the month of November at the Book Nook and Java Shop, 8744 Ferry St.
These are open to high school students and adults and will be held on Mondays, Nov. 12, 19 and 26 from 6-7 p.m. This is for anyone who has always wanted to play hand drums for fun. No prior experience is necessary, but experienced drummers are also welcomed.
Drum circle leader, Emma Greenwood, Montague’s band director, said there is no need to know how to read music, just an interest in playing in a drum circle with hand drums.
Drums will be available for those who register in advance at the Book Nook and Java Shop. There is no cost, but an order of your favorite beverage is encouraged to support the store.
This event is presented by the Music and Performing Arts branch of the Arts Council of White Lake.
