Mrs. Lois "Ann" (Townsend) Ruttmann
 
June 19, 1930 - November 6, 2012

Ann Ruttmann, age 82 of Corunna, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Shiawassee Medical Care Facility.

Ann was born on June 19, 1930 in Muskegon, MI to Eldred G. and Lois M. Townsend. She graduated from Montague High School and attended MSU for 2 years. On November 5, 1950, she married George Frank Ruttmann Jr. in Montague, MI and he predeceased her in 19093. She worked as a Substitute Teacher and Teacher’s Aide in the Corunna Schools. Ann loved helping others and was affectionately known as Mrs. R to her students. She was a fine seamstress and belonged to the sewing club.

She is survived by five daughters; Lannie Zimmerman of Grand Haven, Lindy Ruttmann of Sanford, Lori (Carl) Lamb of Lennon, Greer Ruttmann of Farwell and Janice Glass of Corunna. Grandchildren; Candy (Ryan) Thomas, Quincy (Jess) Glass, Brent Zimmerman and Carly Zimmerman. Great-grandchildren; Zoey, R.J. and MacKenzie Thomas, Kayin and Keely Glass. Brothers; Dr. Jack (Joanne) Townsend, Dr. Samuel Townsend and Dr. Charles (Nancy) Townsend. She was predeceased by sister-in-law Harriet Townsend.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home, Corunna, MI. Family will meet with friends one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the E.G. Townsend Memorial Scholarship Fund at Montague Area Public Schools.
