Mr. Edwin Benjamins |

Edwin Benjamins, 90, died Sept.25, 2012, in Las Cruces NM, where he had lived after retirement. Ed was born Sept.17,1922, in Grand Rapids MI, attended GRJC, enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, then attended and received his Ph.D in physical chemistry from the University of Michigan, where he met and married his wife of 63 years, Ruth. He then worked for E.I. DuPont in Research & Plants Technical, in the United States and abroad, retiring from the Montague plant. Ed is survived by his wife, Ruth, in Las Cruces; daughter Linda (Randy) Mitchell, two grandsons and two great- granddaughters, all in Nevada. He was preceded in death by a son, Gregg, while living in Montague. |
