This painting, titled “The Discovery” is one of many displayed at the Nuveen Center throughout October. The paintings, done by Heiner Hertling, portray the story of “A Pirate’s Quest”, story by Laura Sams and Robert Sams.

Now through Nov. 3, the original oil paintings by Heiner Hertling used to illustrate the children’s book, “A Pirate’s Quest” by Laura Sams and Robert Sams are on display, accompanied by the complete text detailing the wet and wild journey.
