Judy Turk’s view of the world from the backs of elephants in Africa and astride camels in Asia has colored her life and inspired her oil paintings.
Having lived on five continents and now residing in the West Michigan county of her birth, October’s featured artist delights in interpreting subjects many and varied.
Turk, who was known as Judy Donley when she lived in the White Lake area years ago, will host a reception at White River Gallery from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7. Her oil paintings of African wildlife, myths and legends, Michigan landscapes and portraits will hang in prominence from Oct. 2-31.
White River Gallery, a branch of Arts Council of White Lake, is at 8701 Ferry Street, Montague, Michigan.
