Homecoming week at Reeths-Puffer High School will be held Oct. 1-5.
The students will attend the awards/homecoming assembly on Tuesday, Oct. 2 and then will vote for the king and queen after.
On Monday, students are asked to dress as a disney character/superhero. Tuesday will be hat day; Wednesday is class color day, and also those participating in powder puff should wear those shirts; Thursday is dress-up day; and Friday is green and white day.
A powderpuff football game will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Rocket Stadium. The senior girls will face off against the junior girls at the game. Tickets are $3 and can be purchased at the gate.
Freshmen representatives for homecoming are Shelbi Adams and Chandler Adame. Sophomore representatives are Kaylee Cook and Jesse Miller. Junior representatives include Sara Duell and Garrett Blanshine.
Senior representatives are Natalie Yeck, JT Maskell, Emily Knight, Gates Green, Kendal Spring, Jalen Benton, Erica Farr, Kyle Kolbe, Jessy Dick and Zach Santose.
The future king and queen are Braelyn Perry and Kayden Scott.
This year, Reeths-Puffer will be recognizing the 20th anniversary of its state championship football team.
Before the homecoming football game, Reeths-Puffer will hold its annual chicken dinner, in which the proceeds go to the band program. There will be two seatings, one at 5 p.m. and one at 6 p.m.
This year’s homecoming game is on Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. where the Rockets will face Zeeland East. The homecoming king and queen will be announced after the game. Following the king and queen announcements, there will be a dance that students are asked to dress semi-formal or in green and white. It’s $5 to get in and refreshments will be served.
