Mrs. Mary A. Jacobs
 



Laura A. Jacobs of Montague, age 99, widow of Dean, died September 25, 2012. She was born July 28, 1913, in Montague, to Frederich and Anna (Fehrenbach) Kroll. On September 11, 1937, she married Dean A. Jacobs. Mr. Jacobs preceded her in death on February 8, 2005, at the age of 94. Mrs. Jacobs was an active member of Claybanks United Methodist Church, where she had been very active over the years, including serving as church organist for a number of years. Music was Laura's life. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley French, 2 grandsons, Patrick Mahaffey and Rodrick Mahaffey, 2 sisters, Elaine Jacobs and Florence Ramthun, and a brother, Robert Kroll.

FAMILY: 1 son, David Jacobs of Blythedale, MO; 1 daughter, Evelyn Mahaffey Harris of Montague; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, Mildred Hildman of Grand Haven.

SERVICE: Friday, October 5, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at Claybanks United Methodist Church, 9197 56th Ave., Montague, with the Rev. Gayle S. Berntsen officiating, and James K. Tanis as Eulogist. Interment will be made in Oakgrove Cemetery, Montague.

VISITING TIME: 10 AM until service time at Claybanks United Methodist Church.
