Whitehall placed third Saturday and Reeths-Puffer was fourth at the Viking Quad, which the Vikings hosted. NorthPointe Christian won the meet, with Harbor Springs second.
The Vikings received the maximum three points in one flight — first doubles. Zac Carlson and Kyle Zack won that flight. The Vikes received two points for second place in each of the other three doubles flights, along with first singles.
Reeths-Puffer received the maximum three points at fourth singles, where Nate Grinwis beat Harbor Springs’s Ben Brushaber in three sets to win the flight.

The Whitehall Vikings dropped their first dual meet of the week, falling 5-3 to Spring Lake Monday afternoon.
Whitehall’s top players earned wins at first singles and first doubles. Tell Sutton fended off Ryan Fedewa of Spring Lake in first singles in a tight three-set match, 1-6, 6-4, 7-5.
Rockets edge Union
Reeths-Puffer rebounded from its fourth-place finish at the Viking Quad to take a 5-3 win over Union Wednesday afternoon.
