Love to decorate your home or business for the holidays and want the community to enjoy work creation while also competing for a prize?
Well, then enter the White Lake Beacon’s Holiday Decorating Contest.
The Beacon is sponsoring the contest as a part of the Home Town Holiday Weekend Dec. 12 in downtown Whitehall.
There are not a lot of rules in the contest, but hopefully, a lot of fun.
Beacon readers will be the judges for the contest, and there will be three prizes offered to the decorations receiving the most votes. Voters will also be entered into a drawing for a prize.
To enter the contest, just email or bring in a photo of your decorated home or business, the name of the owner, address and a short explanation of the display. The homes or businesses must be located in the Beacon delivery area.
The email address to send entries to is mindy@whitelakebeacon.com. The Beacon office is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The deadline for entering is Wednesday, Nov. 25.
In the Nov. 29 Beacon issue, the photos of the contest entries will be published along with a ballot. A number assigned to each entry can be used on the ballot for voting.
Ballots can be mailed (postmarked) or turned into the Beacon office by Friday, Dec. 4. Votes can also be emailed to the Beacon (mindy@whitelakebeacon.com). The Beacon address is 432 Spring St., Whitehall 49461.
