Report on Road Work/Construction

For the week of Oct. 12 - Oct. 16, 2009

* The following are proposed work schedules, which are subject to change due to weather conditions and/or other unexpected circumstances.

1. Hall Road – from Sheridan to Walker Road in Muskegon Township: Drainage.

2. Giles Road – from Benjamin and Scenic Drive in Laketon Township: Ditching.

3. Fenner Road – from Peterson to Green Creek Road in Laketon Township: Ditching.

4. Alice Street – from Whitehall to Peterson Road in Whitehall Township: Ditching.

5. Various Gravel Roads – in Casnovia, Cedar Creek, Egelston, Fruitport, Holton, Moorland and Sullivan Townships: Grading.

6. River Road – from Auble to Peterson in Laketon and Fruitland Townships: Brush Hogging.

7. McMillan Road - from Orshal to Weber Road Fruitland Township: Dura Patching.

8. Carr Road - from M-46 (Apple Avenue) to Hall Road Egelston Township: Crack Pouring.

9. Various Gravel Roads - in Dalton, Fruitland and Whitehall Townships: Berm Removal.

10. Hall Road – between Brooks and Park Street in Egelston Township: Muskegon County Forcemain – Road will be closed while work is being done. Follow posted detour route that is posted along (Apple Avenue) M-46 from Maple Island to Carr Road.

11. Marquette Avenue – between Walker Road and Harvey Street in Muskegon Township: Forcemain – Road will be closed while work is being done. Follow posted detour route.

12. M-37 at M-46 (Apple Avenue) – Construction of roundabout. Intersection closed. Follow posted detour route.

13. Eilers Road – from Old 99 to Lamos road over Pierson Branch Drain in White River Township: Culvert replacement. Road closed to thru traffic. Follow posted detour route.   Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of October.

14. Pontaluna Road – from US-31 to Wood Road in City of Norton Shores: Closed to thru traffic for roadway reconstruction and storm sewer work. Follow posted detour route. Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of November.
