Report on Road Work/Construction

For the week of Sept. 28 - Oct. 2, 2009

* The following are proposed work schedules, which are subject to change due to weather conditions and/or other unexpected circumstances.

1. I-96– from Grand Haven Road to Exit 4 in Fruitport Township: Guardrail Repair.

2. Giles Road – from Simonelli and Scenic Drive in Laketon Township: Ditching.

3. M-46 – from Maple Island Road to US-31 in Egelston and Muskegon Townships: Mowing.

4. Various Roads – in Blue Lake and Holton Townships: Mowing.

5. Murray Road - from South Shore Drive to Dock Road Fruitland Township: Dura Patching.

6. Carr Road - from M-46 (Apple Avenue) to Hall Road Egelston Township: Crack Pouring.

7. Various Road - in Blue Lake and Holton Townships: Shoulder Patching.

8. Syers Road - west of Holton Duck Lake Road in Holton Township: Culvert Replacement.

9. US-31 – from M-120 (Holton Road) north to Oceana County line in Dalton, Montague and Whitehall Townships:   Tree Removal.

10. Hall Road – between Brooks and Chatterson Road in Egelston Township: Muskegon County Forcemain – Road will be closed while work is being done. Follow posted detour route that is posted along (Apple Avenue) M-46 from Maple Island to Carr Road.

11. Marquette Avenue – between Walker Road and Harvey Street in Muskegon Township: Forcemain – Road will be closed while work is being done. Follow posted detour route.

12. M-37 at M-46 (Apple Avenue) – Construction of roundabout. Intersection closed. Follow posted detour route.

13. Eilers Road – from Old 99 to Lamos road over Pierson Branch Drain in White River Township: Culvert replacement. Road closed to thru traffic. Follow posted detour route.   Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of October.

14. Pontaluna Road – from US-31 to Wood Road in City of Norton Shores: Closed to thru traffic for roadway reconstruction and storm sewer work. Follow posted detour route. Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of November.
