MUSKEGON COUNTY ROAD COMMISSION
Report on Road Work/Construction
For the week of Aug. 31 – Sept. 4, 2009
* The following are proposed work schedules, which are subject to change due to weather conditions and/or other unexpected circumstances.
1. M-46 (Apple Avenue) – from Sullivan to Bossett Road in Egelston and Moorland Townships: Guardrail Repair.
2. Sherman Boulevard – from Newaygo to Kenowa Road in Casnovia Township: Ditching.
3. All Roads – in Cedar Creek, Holton and Laketon Townships: Mowing.
4. McMillan Road - from Whitehall to Scenic Drive in Dalton and Fruitland Townships: Dura Patching.
5. Buys Road - from River to Fenner Road in Laketon Township: Crack Pouring.
6. US-31 – from M-120 (Holton Road) to County line – northbound in median in Dalton, Montague and Whitehall Townships: Tree Removal.
7. Various Roads – in Blue Lake, Dalton, Laketon, Montague, Whitehall and White River Townships: Shoulder Patching.
8. Hughey Street – Water/Sewer Work – Road closed at Seabolt. All other roads are open to local and emergency traffic.
9. Hall Road – between Broton and Wolf Lake Road in Egelston Township: Muskegon County Forcemain – Road will be closed while work is being done. Follow posted detour route that is posted along (Apple Avenue) M-46 from Maple Island to Carr Road.
10. Marquette Avenue – between Dangl and Muskegon Community College in Muskegon Township: Forcemain – Road will be closed while work is being done. Follow posted detour route.
11. Orshal Road – between Michillinda and Riley Thompson Road in Fruitland Township: Road closed will be closed while bridge replacement work is being done. Follow detour route. Work is anticipated to be completed the last week in September.
12. M-37 at M-46 (Apple Avenue) – Construction of roundabout. Intersection closed. Follow posted detour route.
13. Access Highway – from Getty Street to Brusse Avenue in Muskegon Township: Resurfacing – Road will be closed while work is being done. Follow posted detour route. Completion anticipated by mid-September.
14. Pontaluna Road – from US-31 to Wood Road in City of Norton Shores: Closed to thru traffic beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 for roadway reconstruction and storm sewer work. Follow posted detour route. Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of November.
